Setting Goals! | And the Second Half of the Year!

Journalled on Wednesday, 28 June 2023 | Flamengo, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil: 27 °C, hot, sunny and clear sky.

It is Wednesday, the penultimate day of the month.

I am still happy about resolving my Brazilian ID issue, but now I am more interested in what I will do for the next month and the second half of the year.

I like the number 3 and its multiples. In mathematics, three is considered a special number. I have established three primary goals for the rest of the year.

The first is the sites and their relationships with social media and YouTube.

Finding the ideal form to create content for the YouTube channels and where I would be has been challenging.

Over the past couple of weeks, new factors have emerged that will help us refine our business plan. This has also resulted in renaming some sites to better align with the new concept. Now it seems more apparent and better than before.

Overthinking is a big problem in many things we do and work nowadays, and I have done my fair share, but now I am clear in the direction I want to take and, more importantly, HOW. Which was the key factor I did not understand properly? Now I seem to have found that way. July is the month for content and site creation and beyond.

The second is my teeth. I began the treatment more than a year ago when I was living in Copacabana.

However, due to some delays, including financial ones, I have not completed 100% of the treatment, including four implants. I have three enormous gaps in my mouth where the implants should have already been put in a long time ago.

Now, it is time to do it. Luckily, I am a reasonably good-looking man for my fifty-seven years of age and relatively slim and strong, which helps fool people about the problem I have with my teeth.

Thirdly, for my trip to England, I need to decide when to book my flight. I haven’t decided yet, but it will be either October or November.

I need time to resolve things in Brazil, so it’s best to wait until the end of the year, when everything should be done. It is also an opportunity for me to enjoy the end-of-year festivities of Christmas and New Year in England.

England will be a mystery for me as I have not been there for more than twenty years or so. The last time I went, although it was relatively pleasant with my brother and his family, my mother was exceedingly difficult and highly unpleasant towards the end of my stay. I only hope that in my mother’s fragile old age, she will be softer, less hysterical, or even less aggressive than before.

I do not know what to expect in my life, either in Brazil or in England. Brazil is slowly being destroyed by this new, old re-elected government, under which we are now living in an official dictatorship, and I do not see it improving soon. It is a pity. I hope something new will appear for me in England that I do not expect!

Starting on July 1st, these are my goals for the next six months: my sites, my teeth, and England.

Besides finalising my goals and waiting for Dona Vera to deliver my beautiful new glasses, Wednesday was uneventful. I had an early walk but no exercise as I still have a cold, classes, and preparation for the year’s second half.

READY! STEADY! GOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!

In bed by 10 p.m.

Thank you very much.
