Copacabana, Rio de Janeiro: 27 °C, hot, sunny, clear, and slightly cloudy.
It is the middle of the week, and it is going extremely well. I am not anxious, I am good.
One of the reasons for this is my healthy early-morning routine, which I have created and am continually perfecting.
I am up and exercising early, sometimes heavier, other times lighter series. It does not matter; what matters is doing it! On the way home, I have a coffee at the local Portuguese baker’s, where, again, I am having quality time with myself.
It is not necessary to talk to anybody; I can chill out, check my messages, or post a photo I took the day before; it is my time. When leaving the bakery, I always leave a tip; it makes people feel appreciated in the smallest and simplest way, and it is good for both them and me.
Most of the time, giving is much better than receiving. GIVE MORE AND SEE HOW YOU FEEL AND HOW YOUR LIFE CHANGES!
When I arrive home, I have a shower and change into a fresh set of clothes, and I am ready to work. In a perfect world, yes, but Yasmin and Nalva are not the tidiest of people. We must also understand that working in a messy, untidy, or disorganised environment is not good.
Nothing grows or flourishes in a mess or conflict; that goes for work, business, and relationships.
So, the second part of my healthy early morning routine is to give the flat a quick tidy, a sweep fundamentally, and to pass a damp cloth over the wooden floor and to put stuff, clutter, and objects in their proper places; that includes washing the dishes and quickly tidying the kitchen and the bathroom.
And if needed, putting the dirty laundry in the washing machine to wash, or, the opposite, taking the now-clean washing out of the washing machine and hanging them up to dry. In general, tidying the flat quickly involves putting everything in its rightful place.
When you repeat this housework routine every day, it not only automatically keeps everything tidy for the rest of the day but also forms an evolutionary process that improves your home and quality of life.
You begin to make minor changes in your home arrangements that, in turn, improve your time.
These small, indirect, or unimportant changes or tweaks in your home and living arrangements begin to add up to a significant difference in your life over time. In Japanese culture, it is called KAIZEN, where small changes regularly lead to a tremendous difference over time.
One minor tweak today, another tomorrow, another the day after, etc, and suddenly, after some time, everything is different from before. It is a natural, smooth, positive evolutionary process that is highly proactive and does not cause friction or harm.
My powerful early morning routine has helped me change my life most smoothly. I am healthier and more organised, and my work and productivity are much better in one year, without shock or conflict, just a smooth and compelling transformation.
And I am much happier, even when I am not living alone and in a cramped flat, much worse than when I was living in Copacabana. I am still very happy. I know what I want and what I need to do. There will be difficulties along the way, but I am going in the right direction.
The rest of the day was spent working, giving classes, and trying to choose the templates for the sites, which was daunting as there were thousands to choose from. All I need to do is research a little and choose calmly, just this.
In bed by 9.30 p.m.
Thank you.
